NVCC Alexandria Dance Division Program on Wednesday, March 28 at 7:30 p.m. in Tyler Building studio #206. KHGDT will produce and performs in this informal program along with ballet, jazz, modern and ballroom classes. Open to the public!
KHGDT Touring Program: The American Mosaic…Discovering Cultures in April in Fredericksburg.
KHGDT International Night in April at Alexandria’s Cora Kelly Recreation Center. KHGDT performs dances highlighting 11 countries. Come join in the festivities!

KHGDT celebrates Dance is the Answer during National Dance Week at NOVA Alexandria Campus with open classes and rehearsals on Monday & Wednesday 7:30-8:30PM and rehearsals 8:30-10:30PM in Tyler Building Dance Studio #206.

KHGDT is the guest of the Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic at Bishop Ireton High School in Alexandria VA at 3PM-- will perform A Lincoln Portrait/ Shenandoah and Yankee Doodle Dandy.

KHGDT will hold a modern dance class with Tango music by musician Joan Singer from the acclaimed group QuinTango. Date to be announced.

Monday, April 19, 2010 at 7:30-8:30PM PM - Tyler Building Dance Studio, Room 206, Northern Virginia Community College, Alexandria Campus. Master Class in traditional modern dance techniques. In the early 1920's techniques were developed that would train the dancers to present humanistic movements. That form of training became known as "Modern Dance." Doris Humphrey, Charles Weidman and Jose Limon, modern dance pioneers, used a method of "fall and recovery" or "fall and rebound" to train dancers for their works. The essence of their styles will be taught.
